A true born-and-bred Florida native, Sarah transitioned from a background in banking to the insurance industry in March 2001, beginning her career with State Farm. In 2007, she made the move to an Independent Insurance Agency to offer her clients a broader range of products and greater opportunities for savings. Taking on the role of Office Manager, Sarah built strong, lasting relationships with her clients through care, consistency, and a commitment to service.
Now residing in Palm City, FL, Sarah proudly charts her independent path alongside her daughter as Co-Owner of S & J Insurance Group. Her experience in financial services continues to serve her well, giving her a well-rounded understanding of protection and planning—and positioning her as a trusted, compassionate advisor to the many individuals and families she serves.
Jessica Black Hernandez - VP
A true born-and-bred native of Florida and Martin County alumni, Jessica began her insurance journey in June 2009 while still in school, working at an Independent Insurance Agency. In August 2015, she stepped away briefly to pursue her education at the University of Florida, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in 2017. Shortly after, she returned to her roots—this time as a full-time independent agent—and quickly built a reputation for her integrity, knowledge, and client-first mindset.
Today, Jessica proudly serves as Vice President and Co-Owner of S & J Insurance Group, which she operates alongside her mother. Based in Palm City, FL, she lives with her husband and their two adopted children, enjoying life on their small family farm with their... yes.. Dairy Cows! With deep roots in the community and a passion for helping others, Jessica continues to grow both her agency and her clients' confidence—protecting what matters most, one policy at a time.
Chantal Newsome - Manager
Born and raised right here in Martin County, Florida, Chantal Newsome brings a strong sense of community and compassion to everything she does. She joined S & J Insurance Group in March 2022 and has since become an invaluable part of the team, leading operations as our Office Manager. With a heart for service and a natural talent for guiding others, Chantal has played a vital role in delivering peace of mind and tailored solutions to our clients. Chantal lives in Palm City with her husband and their adopted son, enjoying life on their beautiful family property. She shares in the core values that define our agency—faith, family, and a true dedication to helping others protect what matters most. Chantal’s ability to blend professionalism with genuine care makes her a beloved presence both in our office and among the clients we serve.
